Logo Competition
Saturday is National Bookshop Day, a day to celebrate the role of your local bookshop in the community, and although we’re not strictly or only a bookshop, books play a vital role in the Scrumptious Reads philosophy.

You may have noticed by now that we have a new logo, thanks to Seiko Obayashi. It features a large apple tree, which for us not only symbolises the source of food but also our interest in organic produce, natural remedies, and environmentally friendly practices. At the foot of the tree a figure is reading a book, which also comes from a tree. A single apple hangs above, the fruit of knowledge, and the tree’s roots stretch below towards an open book, completing the circle.
In a flashback to childhood days, we’re running a fun competition. Can you spot how many utensils there are hidden in the tree? Reply here, on Facebook, and on Twitter by midnight Saturday (11 August) for your chance to win a $20 gift voucher towards any item in the shop. We will randomly select three winners .

I spy 11 utensils.
I believe there are 11 kitchen tools
I can count 12
Congratulations, Sarah! You’ve won a $20 voucher off any purchase in the store. See you soon!
